If you’re willing to turn your car off the highway and venture from the beaten path, you might be lucky enough to run across a town like Rosewood. Like any small town, Rosewood has its superstars. They’re known as the Chamberlain family. The land Rosewood sits on was deeded to the town by the Chamberlain family in 1870. Their antebellum mansion sits at the edge of Willow Lake, a shining tribute to the plantation history of the past. Over the years, the Chamberlains have held various positions of power, from mayor to sheriff. Led by their matriarch, Adelia Chamberlain, they have money, prestige and influence unmatched by any other residents in Rosewood.
The current generation – the children of Norman and Helen Chamberlain – is just coming of age. The oldest, Blake, was the town football star that went all the way to the NFL before coming back to coach the Rosewood High football team. The twins, Mitchell and Madelyn, are in medical school and pastry school, respectively. Grant is a fireman. Simon just graduated from the police academy. And the youngest, Hazel, is still in high school.
Like all good southern grandmothers, Adelia Chamberlain is ready to see her grandchildren happily settled down. Some will need more help than others, but sometimes love just needs a little push. She’s going to do whatever it takes to light a spark in her grandchildren’s love lives — even if it means literally setting a fire.
I adore this series..read all straight through. This is the kind of series you can make 15 books and your readers would still want more..there are seven children and will be spouses and their siblings and then a new generation starts. Thank you for the “twist” it’s just enough.
